In 2002 Robert & Cheryl Curtis started an online business called Reel 2 Reel 2 CD. As the name implies, they transferred audio reel-to-reel tape to CD. It was a mail order only business. This endeavor was very successful. They noticed that a lot of people thought of 8mm film reels as "reel-to-reels" and they would start getting 8mm film reel orders. Seeing there was a need for this service also they invested in the latest frame-by-frame film transfer machine and other video transfer devices, changed their name to Curtis Media Transfer and began transferring video & audio. As their online business grew they decided to open a shop (first in New Carlisle Ohio then Huber Heights, Ohio) where they serviced the greater Dayton, Ohio area. Twenty years later they are still doing what they love, bringing joy to peoples life's. With the help of their son Robert "Lee" Curtis II they grew Curtis Media Transfer into the well respected business that it is today.
